  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups flour

  • 1½ tbls brown sugar
  • ½ cup currants or rasins
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup water

  • Add the water and stir until a pancake like batter is formed

  • Fry until golden brown

  • Hi there, I found your blog by means of Google while searching for a comparable matter, your site came up, it looks good. I have added to my favourites|added to my bookmarks.

  • hello, i love that u have this recipe up here but i have a question/problem,,,,, i noticed i have to get banana to make it… is there any other thing that i can use instead of banana??? i really want to try seeing that today is Diwali but i dnt have banana at the moment

    • Hi Vishani,

Welcome to Tasty Guyana! Hope you and your family had a blessed Diwali. I must first apologise for responding so late to your question, I was having some electronic difficulties. But you definatly can subsitue the banana with another fruit or vegetable. Such as a puree apple, pear, pumpkin or sweet potato. Basically anything that is sweet let me know how it comes out if you try it :)
